We were appointed by VINCI Facilities as part of a wider Army Restaurant Programme to refurbish the Junior Rank Mess dining facility at Elizabeth Barracks. Our involvement began at RIBA Stage 2, where we worked with the client team to refine layouts and agree specifications that met both operational needs and design standards.
On site, we completed a full strip out of the existing dining and servery areas before delivering a comprehensive refurbishment. This included reconfiguring internal layouts with new partition walls, installing bespoke booth seating, and upgrading servery areas with new joinery and commercial catering equipment. We also installed new flooring, completed full redecoration, and introduced acoustic ceiling treatments to improve comfort and reduce noise levels. Electrical and mechanical upgrades were carried out to support the revised layout and ensure compliance with current standards.
