Working in close conjunction with the British Forces Broadcasting Services’ sound and IT engineers, we designed and built a state-of-the-art radio station from a brick shell, against a tight and very fixed deadline in March 2014.

This brick shell was a former Community Police Station is now the UK’s first British Forces Broadcasting Service digital radio station.

Every aspect of the interior of the Police Station was completely removed. Advanced energy efficient LED lighting, an energy efficient water heating system and a new automatic entrance door were installed, all contributing heavily to the environmental sustainability of the building.

A new high-spec interior, including a reception area, a broadcasting studio, kitchen and toilets, transformed it from a disused and degenerating building into a modern, functioning studio.
