The Wessex Cancer Trust held a truly unique event for the children being treated at Piam Brown children’s cancer ward at Southampton General Hospital.
The children and their families were driven from the hospital to Paulton’s Park in their very own vintage fire engines! The fire engines and drivers were provided by Romsey Fire Station and we at Concept are proud to have donated the fuel for the fire engines as well as lots of treats for the children. The children all had a great day to remember, trying out the rides and then on to Romsey fire station for tea, where they were entertained by puppeteer Geoffrey Gould and the Romsey Old Cadets Carnival Showband.
Thanks to our own Marcus Harris for co-ordinating activities on behalf of Concept.
Having supported the heats back in April in aid of prostate cancer, our team are looking forward to playing in the finals on Thursday 25 September.
